E.C. Piedra was born in the midwestern United States during a time between wars that would come to promote his country to the forefront of Earth's super-powers. He has been instrumental in the American's post-war effort to dominate space. Through programs such as the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), he has assisted in the development of some of humankind's greatest technological achievements.

In the early 21st century, Mr. Piedra took it upon himself to create a documentary account of the events of his lifetime. In 2014, "Birth of the Centaur" was released in a small edition of 100 copies. With the hopes of reaching a wider audience, this website has been compiled so that Mr. Piedra's words and hopes for humankind might persist and continue forward.
